- There are two junctions; b and d
- There are three branches; bad, bd, bcd
- According to junction rule, which is often called Kirchoff’s junction rule or Krichoff’s current law currents entering any junction must be equal to sum of the currents leaving that junction;
- At junction d; i3+i1= i2 or at junction b; i2= i1+i3
- To find currents i1,i2 and i3 apply LOOP RULE;
- and for the entire loop(3),
- 3 unknowns (i1, i2, i3) & 3 equations
